A conical nozzle body-side seat surface (33a) is formed on a nozzle body (3), and a nozzle valve (5) is slidably received in the nozzle body (3). The nozzle valve (5) is provided with a conical portion (54) that can be in contact with the nozzle body-side seat surface (33a), a circular groove (55a) radially opposed to the nozzle body-side seat surface (33a), and a through-hole (55b) through which fuel staying in the circular groove (55a) is released to a space portion (4) immediately before the conical portion (54) is in contact with the nozzle body-side seat surface (33a).
