<p>A relay apparatus with a built-in power line communication modem comprises a modem part (51) for power line communication and a relay part (52) having a switching hub function. The relay part (52) can be connected to a computer, thereby allowing the modem part (51) to perform a power line communication, while the relay part (52) can be connected to a terminal device and/or a peripheral device, thereby constructing a network.
