PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for guiding a temporarily repeated inquiry call are provided to automatically inform a phone number asked many times. CONSTITUTION: When an inquiry call is generated by a client(S20), the first standby announcement is outputted to guide the client to maintain the call(S22). If standby time exceeds(S24), the second announcement is outputted to allow the client to determine whether to be informed a phone number through an ARS(Automatic Response Service) voice announcement by using a specific button(S26). If the client presses the specific button(S28), a charge is imposed(S30) and the client is informed the phone number together with voice announcement previously set by situations(S32). When the client presses a phone number related to a pertinent situation(S34), the controller searches a phone number from a buffer memory, announces it in voice(S36), and then cuts off the call(S38).
