<p>A steering control for a snowboard, or for a glide board, has one or more fins fitted to the underside of the board. The fins can be fitted near to the rear of the board. Typical fitting means include a T-cross section fin strip fitted through a slit (2) in the board and with the flat (3) support flange secured to the top of the board by screw fasteners or by adhesive. Alternately the fin is fitted with threaded studs along the top edge to secure into holes through the board. For optimum effect the fins have a tapering profile. The improvement can be retrofitted to existing boards.</p> |
