A roller bearing cage is formed of segments each having spaced parallel bars joined by arcuate rims, and having flanges contacting those on adjacent segments. In Fig. 1 cage section 1 has radial flanges 8 on portions 6 outside the pitch circle, and an alternative section has flanges 10 on portions 5. In Fig. 3 (not shown), a segment has axial flanges 12 extending from end rims (11) and shaped to conform with the rollers. A segment may have both axial and radial flanges. The cage is for cylindrical rollers.</p> |
