Mannopyranoside-based peptidomimetic compounds (I) are new. Mannopyranoside-based peptidomimetic compounds of formula (I) are new. X = O or CHR15; R1-R5, R15 = 1-30C organic group optionally containing heteroatoms (specifically O, S and/or N) and optionally substituted (specifically by one or more of NH2, NO2, CN, OH, COOH, C(O)OR6 and/or C(O)NR7R8); R6-R8 = H or 1-10C organic group; Z = linking group with a chain length of two atoms, specifically CH2O, CH2CH2, CH2NH or CH2S). An Independent claim is also included for the preparation of (I) using a biological system.
