SETTLING POND HAVING SEDIMENT TREATMENT FACILITY FOR WATER AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS

PURPOSE: A settling pond having sediment treatment facility for water and wastewater treatment plants is provided to substantially improve construction conditions and improve sedimentation efficiency by preventing rediffusion of the sediment in the process of collecting sediment and discharging the sediment to the outside. CONSTITUTION: The settling pond comprises a water tank(10) which secures storage capacity with being divided by wall bodies(12) of four sides vertically set up around the flat floor(11), in the front wall body(12) of which an influent inflow passageway(13) is formed, and in the rear wall body(12) of which an influent overflow weir is formed to settle down solid contained in influent; and a sediment collector(20) comprising a transfer means(22) for transferring sediment settled down to the front side, wherein the transfer means is longitudinally installed in back and forth directions on the floor of the water tank and traveled along a track set by driving force of a driving means(21) installed outside the water tank, wherein the influent inflow passageway is arranged on an upper part of the front wall body of the water tank in such a way that a facility installation space(16) is secured in a lower part of an intermediate dividing wall(15) extended to the outside with being bent from the middle of the front wall body and being in the border with the influent inflow passageway, a suction hood(17) is installed at a corner part inside the front wall body adjacently to the transfer means of the sediment collector, and a sediment discharge pipe(18) connected with the suction hood is piped to be exposed to the facility installation space side by passing through the front wall body.
