EFFECTIVE IP PAGING METHOD USING DISTANCE-BASED POSITION REGISTRATION

PURPOSE: An effective IP paging method using a distance-based position registration is provided to effectively perform paging in an IP network by applying distance-based location registration to a mobile IP. CONSTITUTION: When a terminal is moved into a new FA(S900), it receives an advertisement message of the new FA(S902), and checks whether the new FA is on a paging region list(S904). If the new FA is not on the paging region list, the mobile terminal stores the FA on the paging region list and updates a position, thereby performing position registration(S906).
