MOLD FOR CASTING LARGE STAINLESS STEEL INGOT

摘要

PURPOSE: A mold for casting a large stainless steel ingot is provided which has the optimum shape factor conditions to prevent casting inner defects frequently generated in casting of a large steel ingot such as stainless steel ingot having high solidification contraction. CONSTITUTION: In a mold used for casting a large stainless steel ingot, the mold is characterized in that the mold has shape factor conditions corresponding to shape of a steel ingot to be cast in which a ratio of steel ingot height(4) to steel ingot central diameter(5) is in the range of 1.1 to 1.25, and steel ingot ingredient(6) is in the range of 12 to 20%.
