PURPOSE: A wire cutter for controlling position and speed using a servomotor is provided to control accurately a rotating position of the cutter by using the servomotor and a rotating speed. CONSTITUTION: A wire cutter(30) comprises a cutter mounted on a conveying path of a wire(5) and cutting the wire by rotational motion; a servomotor mounted on a rotating body to which the cutter is fixed and controlling the degree of the rotation of the rotating body; a first proximity switch mounted on a starting position of the cutting speed and a second proximity switch mounted on a terminating position of the cutting speed; and a controller for controlling the servomotor in such a manner that the cutter rotates in the cutting speed between the first proximity switch and the second proximity switch based on the output signals of the proximity switches and rotates in a different speed with the cutting speed in the other section.
