PURPOSE: An electrode replacing device is provided which is capable of minimizing deterioration of productivity due to operation stop during electrode replacement operation by rotating electrode by pneumatic motor using an air line essentially equipped at steelmaking plant as a power source. CONSTITUTION: The electrode replacing device comprises a rod shaped main body(10'); a clamp(12) installed at an end part of the main body to clamp electrode (C); a cylinder installed at the main body to operate clamp; a clamp switch for controlling the cylinder; a pneumatic motor installed at the main body to drive the main body by pneumatic pressure; a motor switch for controlling the motor; a chain connected to the pneumatic motor and moved like a caterpillar during driving of the motor; and rollers(20a,20b,20c) connected to the chain and rotated by the chain during driving of the pneumatic motor to rotate the electrode clamped to the clamp, wherein handle and waist support are installed at the main body, and wherein the main body(10') comprises a vertical arm(10a) that is capable of height adjustment and rotation, and a horizontal arm(10b) that is installed at the vertical arm and capable of length adjustment.
