The operating system comprises an actuator (10) and two pivots (15) with a mechanism for uncoupling two parts of the actuator system. The uncoupling mechanism has a locker (18,22) with a latch (22) carried by one of the parts, and a bolt (18) carried by the other part. The latch has a control part allowing freeing of the bolt. The force necessary for operating the control part being much less than and independent of the pulling force tending to separate the bolt from the latch. The locker is of the type used in seat belt buckles. The actuator is pivoted near one of its ends about a spindle (14) on a metal fitting (12) fixed on the door panel. The locker is located between the other end of the actuator and the adjacent end (20) of the metal fitting.
