A conveyer unit for transporting fuel from a tank to a combustion engine comprises a rotationally driven pump bounded by inlet (16) and pressure (17) covers and with an overpressure by-pass with a valve (30) comprising a closing element (37) and valve spring (40). The valve is in the pressure cover. An Independent claim is also included for a unit as above in which the valve is mounted on the pressure cover side of the inlet cover.
