METHOD FOR MONITORING ROTOR WINDING SHORT CIRCUIT BASED ON SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR OPERATING STATUS

PURPOSE: A method for monitoring the rotor winding short circuit based on the synchronous generator operating status is provided to effectively reduce the installation damage due to the failure of the generator by obtaining an accurate information for the rotator status. CONSTITUTION: A method for monitoring the rotor winding short circuit based on the synchronous generator operating status includes a search coil, an analog-to-digital(A/D) converter(20) and a data processor(30). The search coil outputs the size as a linear voltage by controlling the output of the A/D converter(20). The A/D converter(20) converts the analog characteristic value of the search coil outputted as an intensity of voltage to the data processor(30). And, the data processor(30) performs the sampling for the data having at least two data as a data having a frequency larger than 100 KHz by controlling the output of the A/D converter(20). The data processor(30) stores the sampled data as one file and finds the peak value when the slot of the rotator passes through. The data processor(30) transmit the data by using the monitoring system and the TCPIP. The data processor(30) extracts the information for the degree of the short of the rotator winding by using the transmitted data.
