PURPOSE: Human protooncogene HCC-10 and a protein encoded therein are provided, which human protooncogene HCC-10 has no homology to previous protooncogene and metastasis-inducing activity, so that it can be useful for diagnosis of leukemia, uterine cancer, lymphoma, colorectal cancer, lung cancer and skin cancer, production of transformed animals and anti-sense treatment. CONSTITUTION: The human protooncoprotein HCC-10 has the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 2. The human protooncogene HCC-10 encodes the human protooncoprotein HCC-10, wherein the human protooncogene HCC-10 comprises the nucleotides at nucleotide position 195 to 1916 in the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1; and the human protooncogene HCC-10 has the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1. A vector containing the human protooncogene HCC-10 is provided. A transformed microorganism Escherichia coli DH5α/HCC-10/pCEV-LAC (KCTC 10396BP) is produced with the vector containing the human protooncogene HCC-10. The human protooncoprotein HCC-10 is produced by culturing the transformed microorganism Escherichia coli DH5α/HCC-10/pCEV-LAC (KCTC 10396BP). A kit for diagnosis of cancer contains the human protooncogene HCC-10 or human protooncoprotein HCC-10. An anti-sense gene having the complementary nucleotide sequence with mRNA sequence transcribed from the human protooncogene HCC-10 inhibits the expression of the human protooncogene HCC-10. An anti-cancer and anti-metastasis composition comprises the anti-sense gene. |
