The present relates to the application of a natural origin support obtained from Opuntia imbricata commonly known as teasel, cut directly from the field to be used in the inmovilization of different microbial consortium and to be used in the aerobe and anaerobe treatment of residual waters. In order to confirm the efficiency of residual waters treatment by means of the technology developed herein is taken as the investigation objective, residual waters and the obtained support from Opuntia imbricata, which showed the efficient capacity of inmovilizing biomass allowing under these technological conditions the treatment or biomineralization of organic and inorganic contaminants contained in residual waters in an efficient way, with low rates of biomass generation obtaining with this, a substantial saving making unnecessary the muds disposition.
