PURPOSE: Provided is an air cleaner having a plurality of air cleaning parts each of which is able to operate separately. CONSTITUTION: The air cleaner comprises a main body(1) having a first air cleaning part(10) and a second cleaning part(30), each of which is connected to each other and has a ventilating device(16,36) and a filtering device(20,40), a first sensor(5) and a second sensor(6), each of which is respectively equipped at both sides of the main body to respectively detect an air pollution level at both sides of an indoor space and a controlling device to make both air cleaning parts operate or to make any one of air cleaning parts operate according to detected information from the first sensor and the second sensor.
