A ramp assembly 10 is described having a ramp member 11 pivotally moveable about an end of the ramp member between a stowed position and an extended position, and operating means 36,38 for moving manually the ramp member between its stowed and extended positions, the operating means including a handle 38 accessible at a part of the ramp member remote from its end about which it is pivotable, and a connecting member 36 connecting the handle to the ramp member and whose effective length is able to be increased. |
