An electric machine tool is provided with separate internal housings which are equipped with different functional assemblies. These housings are ranged axially against one another and are coupled together. At least one of the housings 1,2,3 comprises a plastic casing 28 that is reinforced with a metal sleeve 29. A resilient strap (figure 1, 6) can also be provided and laid externally around one of the housings 1,2,3 to partially enclose it coaxially, with a plurality of gripping arms (figure 1 8,9,11,12) extending in the axial direction, branching off from the strap. The housings 1,2,3 may be connected to one another via bayonet-catch devices. |
