METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING INFLOW OF EXTERNAL AIR INTO WALKING BEAM TYPE REHEATING FURNACE

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for preventing inflow of external air into walking beam type reheating furnace are provided to prevent the external air flown in from an entrance of the reheating furnace from diffusing into the reheating furnace by injecting upward an internal air in a lower part of the entrance of the reheating furnace. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for blocking an external air flown into the inside of the reheating furnace from an entrance region of walking beam type reheating furnace, the apparatus for preventing inflow of the external air into the walking beam type reheating furnace comprises an inner gas passageway(14) formed on an inner lower bottom surface of the entrance region of the reheating furnace; a blower(13) installed at the inner gas passageway to blow an inner gas of the reheating furnace; and a plurality of injection nozzles(12) for injecting an inner gas of high temperature flown into the inner gas passageway to form a gas curtain(16) for blocking an external air flown into the entrance region of the reheating furnace, wherein two rows or more of the injection nozzles are installed on the inner lower bottom surface of the entrance region of the reheating furnace.
