GUIDE LINER WITH IMPROVED WEAR RESISTANCE AND FRACTURE RESISTANCE

PURPOSE: A side guide liner with long life cycle and superior fracture resistance is provided to reduce material cost and maintenance cost and contribute to stable hot rolling operation at the same time. CONSTITUTION: In a guide liner formed of Fe-Cr based cast iron installed at both sides of each stand to easily lead-in a strip before hot rolling at a steel mill, the guide liner with improved wear resistance and fracture resistance is characterized in that the Fe-Cr based cast iron is casted in such a way that in such a way that a stainless steel wire-gauge(2) is positioned at a 1/3 point and a 2/3 point of the total thickness of the guide liner formed of Fe-Cr based cast iron, wherein the stainless steel wire-gauge(2) is a stainless steel wire-gauge(2) formed of polygonal or rhombic wire having a cross-sectional area in which a ratio of the maximum length/the minimum length is less than 30%, and wherein thickness of the stainless steel wire-gauge is in the range of 1/20 to 1/7 of the total thickness of the liner, and a cross-sectional area of first layer of the wire-gauge is in the range of 5 to 30% of area of one side of the guide liner.
