The film stretching and folding clamp has the front edge of its upper jaw (417) fitted with at least one idling roller (18) with its axis parallel to the clamp pivot axes (3, 15, 21, 23). The roller is cylindrical, round in section and with rounded ends; its diameter is slightly greater than the thickness of the clamp's upper jaw, projecting beyond its upper and lower edges. The lever (17) which forms the upper jaw of the clamp is flat and strengthened by a central lengthwise rib (217).
