<p>The roof window has main frame and pivot sash which are covered by a flat U-shaped cover unit. The top portions (1,5) of the main frame and pivot sash are covered by a hood-like upper cover (32). An interior glazing profile (15) covers the upper edges (7,8) of each pivot sash facing the light admitting area. An exterior cover unit (11) covers the protruding portions (3,4) of each main frame. The upper and lower portions of cover unit overlapping with the glazing profile and exterior frame cover (11) are screwed to the lower portions of pivot sash unit and upper portion of main frame respectively. The lower cover (21) has a joggled connection portion (22) which is inserted into the upper cover (20) such that, when the window is opened, the lower cover swings unimpedently outwards with respect to the upper cover.</p> |
