The method is used in the power and in the mechanical engineering. It extends the operational life of the propellers. By the method, from the peripheral part of the basic disc a ring is being removed in which the worn-out and defective sections of the disc are contained .The remaining part of the disc, including the hub, is mounted coaxially in the hole of a ring-shaped cast disc, and two-side U-shaped chamfering of the ends is being performed. The two parts are connected frontally, initially by spot welding, and then by electric arc welding in protected gas medium. Welding is carried out simultaneously in two diametrically opposite points and in the same welding direction at current intensity Iweld. from 310 to 350 A, supply voltage 3 x 380 V and welding speed of from 1.0 to 1.8 m/h. Immediately after the welding the produced disc-hub is subjected to heat treatment. 5 claims, 2 figures
