PURPOSE: An array substrate for an LCD device is provided to electrically float a portion of gate lines corresponding to a part that crosses data lines, without fully removing the portion of the gate lines, thereby reducing parasitic capacitance caused from the crossed part of the lines and preventing light leakage. CONSTITUTION: Gate lines(104) are extended in one direction on a substrate(100). Data lines(118) vertically cross the gate lines(104), and define a pixel area(P). On a crossed point between the lines(104,118), A TFT(T) is formed. The TFT(T) consists of a gate electrode(102), an active layer(110), a source electrode(114), and a drain electrode(116). A transparent pixel electrode(128) contacted with the drain electrode(116) is disposed in the pixel area(P). A storage capacitor(Cst) is configured in an upper part of the gate lines(104).
