A bag is formed of a flexible, heat-sealable packaging material provided with an inner sealing medium (2) layer seen relative to the interior (24) of the bag. The bag includes a pouch portion (3) having a front wall (4) and a back wall (5) being interconnected to form a bottom (21) and sealed together along opposed side edges (10, 11) by means of side seams (12, 13). The pouch portion (3) further has a flap (6) connected to the back wall (5) thereof and extending down onto the outer face (7) of the front wall (4) of the pouch portion (3) in an overlapping manner.
