PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing skull of molten steel in twin roll strip caster is provided to minimize formation of skull at the nozzle, suppress growing of the skull to the utmost, improve quality of casting slab, secure stability of casting operation and protect casting facility by vibrating tundish for supplying molten steel through a nozzle. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus(1) comprises a tundish car comprising a car main body moved back and forth by driving force of traveling motor to transfer tundish to a part that is directly above casting rolls, a moving block lifted and lowered in vertical guider of the car main body by driving force of a vertical moving motor, a pair of arms(127a,127b) one end of which is rotationally assembled into the moving block, and to which both sides of the tundish are locked, and a rotational cylinder for rotationally operating the arms; an upper catching bracket(31) which is mounted on a lower surface of horizontal plate integrally mounted on both surfaces of the tundish, and on a lower part of which a concave groove(31a) is formed; a lower catching bracket(32) equipped with a catching pin(32a) inserted into the concave groove and put on an upper surface of vibration plate(33); a resting base(34) on an upper surface of which an insertion part(34a) is sunk to a certain depth so that a projection part(33a) projectingly formed downward to a certain length on a lower surface of the vibration plate is vertically movably inserted into the insertion part, and which is integrally put on an upper surface of the arms; and a cylinder(35) comprising a rod(35a) an upper end of which is always contacted with a lower surface of the projection part by passing through a through hole(34b) of the insertion part so that the rod transmits vertical vibration to the projection part, wherein the rod is received in a mounting hole(38) sunk into an upper surface of the arms.
