DATA STORAGE MEDIA AND OPTICAL SYSTEM USING SAME MEDIA

PURPOSE: A data storage media and an optical system using the data storage media are provided to record or regenerate data at or from the data storage media using a matrix type electric circuit mechanism. CONSTITUTION: The media comprises plural lower electrode lines(120), plural upper electrode lines(140), and a data record layer(130). The plural lower electrode lines(120) are equidistantly and in parallel arranged on a transistor. The plural upper electrode lines(140) are also equidistantly and in parallel arranged on a transistor while they cross the plural lower electrode lines(120). The data record layer(130) includes cells formed between the plural lower electrode lines(120) and plural upper electrode lines(140). The overall surface is covered with a silicon oxide film. The transistor actively controls the current amount supplied for the each cell.
