The device (2) has a heating element (4) and a heat sink (23). The heating device is designed to be fitted in a shaft (15) that opens in the radial direction and the heat sink is in the form of a conducting piece that can carry a flow for arrangement near the shaft. The heating device is pre-assembled as a module unit with a holder. A sealing surface provided on the heating device can be brought into sealed connection with the fluid line (3).
