Noise and vibrating reducing railway pad

An attachable pad, which is produced by blending polymeric binders with hard particles is manufactured in a mould whose shape is that which mirrors a railway track. <??>Attaching these pads to the railway track using mechanical or chemical fixing, reduces the vibration of the track as a train passes over, which in turn reduces the incident noise pollution. The pads can be different heights to allow maintenance work on the track without removing the pads. <??>To further reduce the noise pollution, the pads can be porous which acts as a sound absorber, thus the combination of vibration and sound attenuation gives better results than theory suggests.
