DATA INTEGRATION SYSTEM DEFINING INTEGRATED SCHEMA BY USING XQUERY AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A data integration system defining an integrated schema by using the XQuery and a method thereof are provided to easily generate the integrated schema by describing the integrated schema definition and the mapping information with the XQuery, and define various forms of integrated schemata by using various sentences of the XQuery. CONSTITUTION: An integrated query processor(210) generates an XQuery parsing tree(202) by including an XQuery parser. A wrapper(230) provides local schema information. An integrated schema processor(220) examines validity by receiving the XQuery parsing tree from the XQuery parser, and generates an XML schema tree(204) and a mapping information tree(206) performing a sentence of the local schema information received from the wrapper. The integrated query processor comprises a validity examining module(222) and a sentence performing module(224).
