The system (1) includes a general telecommunication network (2), to which a number of telephone sets (21-23) are connected. A private branch exchange function (3) related to the network, is capable of being connected via an outward extension telephone line to an inward line (4) for equipment provided with switching functions. Peripheral extension telephone set (21) belonging to two branch exchange function, connected to telecommunication network (2), as a network adapted telephone set. The peripheral extension telephone is connected to private branch exchange via switching path for signal transmission. The switching path for signal transmission is established via the telecommunication network without the need of generating a branch exchange related B-response.
