[Also in Division A4] A curtain suspender 10 includes a support portion 11 for engaging a rail or adapted for securing to a wall and a flexible loop portion 15 with a free end 16 releasably engageable with the support portion 11, the end 16 and the support portion 11 together defining two vertically spaced pairs of co-operating abutments which interengage by resiliently deforming the support portion 11. In one embodiment, Fig. 1, the free end 16 is formed with an eye 28 which engages over a pair of oppositely directed hooks 19, 20 on opposite sides of a slot 12 in the support portion 11, the hooks 19, 20 being resiliently displaced towards each other when engaged by the eye 28. In another embodiment, Fig. 5, the support portion carries rollers 14 and the free end 16 of the loop 15 has spaced enlargements 30, 38 which engage seatings 31, 39 in the support portion 11, the end 16 being engaged by passing through a slot 32 and resiliently displacing the parts on opposite sides of the slot 12 towards each other. In a modification (Fig. 8), the support portion 11 may be secured to a wall (42) by a rail (41) or by adhesive. |
