METHOD FOR DISPLAYING LUMINANCE GRAY SCALE AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, IN WHICH PLURAL BINARY IMAGES ARE DISPLAYED TEMPORARILY

PURPOSE: A method for displaying luminance gray scale and an image display device are provided to improve image quality of a moving picture by reducing external appearance of pseudo contour noise of the moving picture. CONSTITUTION: According to the method for displaying luminance gray scale, plural binary images allocated with weight corresponding to luminance level are assembled temporarily and then displayed. In order to display random gray scale, all weights of the selected binary image are different each other. The assembly of plural binary images indicating the gray scale is constituted with binary image selected from the binary images where the least weight is allocated among the plurality of binary images. The plural binary images are displayed in a sequence that weight of the plural binary image increases.
