APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING SCRATCH ON SURFACE OF SLAB

PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing scratch on the surface of slab is provided to improve surface quality of the slab and improve actual yield of slab product accordingly by preventing scratches from forming on a lower surface of the slab passing through center apron. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus(1) comprises a roller part(10) comprising an idle roller(7) rotationally installed in a space(5) formed in center of the center apron(210) so that the idle roller supports the lower surface of the slab; a sprocket part comprising a plural eccentricity bushes which have as axis that is one-sided for an axis of central shaft(12) of the roller part, to which both sides of the central shaft is connected through bearing, and the outer circumferential surface of which is rotationally supported to the center apron, and driven sprockets(22) connected to both sides of the eccentricity bushes respectively; a driving part(40) comprising a driving sprocket(34) connected to the driven sprockets through chain(32), and a motor(36) for rotating the driving sprocket; and a controller for remotely controlling operation of the motor of the driving part, wherein the axis of the central shaft is rotated around the axis of the eccentricity bushes so that the idle roller is projected to an upper side of the center apron to slidingly support a lower surface of the slab.
