PURPOSE: Provided is a lithium ion polymer battery preventing the inside short-circuit of a case and an electrode plate assembly and keeping the thickness of a continuous jelly roll relatively uniformly and a preparation method thereof. CONSTITUTION: The lithium ion polymer battery contains: the electrode plate assembly formed by winding a cathode plate, an anode plate, and a separator in the form of a jelly roll, wherein the cathode plate and the anode plate are formed by spreading active materials on a cathode current collector and an anode current collector; a case(61) putting the electrode plate assembly therein and a cover(61a) of the case(61); a cathode lead and an anode lead(63) welded each to one side of the cathode current collector and the anode current collector; a first tape(65) and a second tape(66) attached asymmetrically to both sides of the cathode lead and the anode lead(63), wherein the first tape(65) is extended longer than the second tape(66) to the outside. |
