PURPOSE: An operation valve device of an internal combustion engine is provided to enlarge the diameter of a rocker shaft of a side needing rigidity. CONSTITUTION: An operation valve device of an internal combustion engine has a suction side rocker shaft(2); an exhaust side rocker shaft(3); suction side rocker arms(5,6) having the front end connected to suction valves; and exhaust side rocker arms(31a,31b) having the front ends connected to exhaust valves. The suction side rocker arms are supported to the suction side rocker shaft and is driven by suction cams. The exhaust side rocker arm is supported to the exhaust side rocker shaft and is driven by an exhaust cam. The diameter of the rocker shaft of a side needing rigidity.
