PURPOSE: An apparatus for rounding top end part of strip is provided to reduce defect ratio by correcting shape defects such as crease formed on top end of the strip and adjusting a rounding part forming distance, thereby forming a rounding part in such a manner that end marks are minimized according to material or thickness of strip. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a front part comprising a flying shear installed on a strip transfer path to cut strip; a shape correction part comprising bodies(32) movably arranged in rear of the flying shear, a roller table fixed to the bodies, and a plurality of pressing rollers rotated by first cylinders(36) fixed to the bodies so that shape of top end of the strip is corrected in the shape correction part; and a rounding forming part comprising second cylinders(52) respectively installed at upper and lower parts of the bodies, and upper and lower rounding members for rounding the top end of the strip by the second cylinders, wherein the bodies are transferable in a direction parallel to a strip proceeding direction by motors(62) and screw(64), and wherein an edge sensing sensor is mounted on the bodies to sense the top end of the strip during transferring of the bodies.
