PURPOSE: A method for removing scale on slab by oscillation and spray is provided to effectively remove scale by reciprocatingly spraying high pressure water onto upper and lower surfaces of slab in a direction perpendicularly to a slab proceeding direction, thereby minimizing temperature drop of the slab. CONSTITUTION: In a method for removing scale formed on the surface of slab by high pressure water in the mini mill process, the method for removing scale on slab by oscillation and spray is characterized in that temperature drop of the slab is minimized by reciprocatingly spraying high pressure water onto upper and lower surfaces of slab in a direction perpendicularly to a slab proceeding direction, wherein the high pressure water is sprayed onto the upper and lower surfaces of the slab by full cone nozzles(18) fixed to a body(16) installed on the upper and lower surfaces of the slab in such a manner that the body is capable of being transferred perpendicularly to a slab proceeding direction with being connected to link member(14) connected to rotation plate(12) rotated by motor(10), wherein pitch of the nozzle is 40 mm, and vibration speed of the nozzle is 2.5 Hz or more when transfer speed of the slab is 5 m/min, and wherein pitch of the nozzle is 50 mm, and vibration speed of the nozzle is 3.0 Hz or more when transfer speed of the slab is 5 m/min.
