PURPOSE: A plug for converter tapping hole is provided to prevent air pollution and damage of surrounding facility by blocking discharge of flame, dust and gas into the outside through tapping hole sleeve and further improve quality of molten steel by preventing slag from flowing out of the sleeve in the initial stage of converter tapping. CONSTITUTION: The plug(1) for converter tapping hole comprises a main body part(30) inserted into sleeve at an inner side of the converter tapping hole; a head cap(50) attached to or detached from the front of the main body part by an attaching and detaching means(40); a skirt(60) installed at the main body part and fixed with being caught on the inner diameter surface of the sleeve to prevent the main body part from breaking away from the sleeve; and a sleeve cohering member(80) comprising a cohering end(82) which is attached to the head cap by an attaching means and closely adhered to the inner diameter part of the sleeve to prevent a gap from being forming between the sleeve cohering member and the inner diameter part of the sleeve, wherein the cohering end is integrally formed on the sleeve cohering member, wherein the attaching and detaching means of the head cap is formed of a fixed protrusion inserted into a fixed groove formed on the main body part, and the skirt is equipped with a cutout part(62) inserted into the main body part and continuously formed in a circumferential direction of the skirt so that the skirt is close adhered and fixed to the inner diameter part of the sleeve in a reverse direction.
