PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an ink stone is provided to easily form a pattern on the cover of an ink stone, thereby providing a high quality, inexpensive and popular ink stone. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing an ink stone comprises steps of cutting a material stone of Nampo stone for a cover of an ink stone and polishing the cover surface with sandpaper; naturally drying the cover at temperature of 23 and humidity of 80%; coating the cover surface with lacquer burned in a oven at the high temperature of 170 for one hour; coating the cover surface with a chemical compound of rubber materials; attaching a pattern film to the cover surface; projecting ultraviolet rays on the cover surface; jetting a wire with a high pressure air compressor so that the patter is formed on the cover of the ink stone.
