The small peg has a drill spindle (12) associated with an arm to form a bench-dog (13). An extremity (14) is equipped with a through-hole to allow the bench-dog (13) to run according to the length of the spindle. Another extremity (19) is equipped with a bearing surface (24) to retain a scale against a surface. The extremity (19) has a through-hole carrying the bearing surface (24) to an end (23) of the extremities.
