A computer-implemented method for managing comps for an enterprise comprises monitoring patron activity where the patron activity relates to transactions between the enterprise and one or more patrons; and generating comps for the one or more patrons using a set of patron targeting rules and a set of comp generation rules, the patron targeting rules determining whether each patron is eligible to have comps generated therefor, and the comp generation rules determining the number of comps to be generated for each patron based on the patron activity if the patron is eligible. Each comp promotion has the following attributes of i) promotion start and expiration dates; ii) locations associated with the promotion(s) and iii) limitations on accumulation of comps such as rolling accumulation period, comps ceiling, or play frequency limitation A rolling accumulation period is where only those comps earned within a specified time period can be redeemed. A comp ceiling is where a patron cannot earn greater than a specified upper limit of comps. A play frequency limitation is where a patron must earn a specified number of comps within a given time period.
