HOME NETWORK SYSTEM USING WIRELESS RESIDENTIAL GATEWAY AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A home network system using a wireless residential gateway and a method thereof are provided to use a CDMA module with a WAN(Wide Area Network) interface of a wireless residential gateway, and to use an IP only when the IP is necessary between a home network server and the wireless residential gateway, thereby efficiently using the IP and improving IP management efficiency. CONSTITUTION: An access network(120) is connected to a WAN(110). A wireless residential gateway(130) is connected between the access network(120) and a home network(140). The access network(120) uses a wireless network. The wireless residential gateway(130) uses a PNA(Phone-line Networking Alliance) port or a PLC(Power Line Carrier) port as a main LAN interface, and uses a CDMA module as a WAN interface. The wireless residential gateway(130) interfaces data transmitted/received between the access network(120) and the home network(140). Mobile phone numbers are assigned to each wireless residential gateway(130), respectively.
