PURPOSE: A high-power variable combiner is provided to build switches to basically dispose 6 paths, and to combine two amplifiers by simply operating a deep switch, thereby operating the combiner with 3 sectors or 6 sectors without changing the combiner. CONSTITUTION: Distributors(112) branch input signals to two paths. Sector input switches(114) control the number of input sectors. An amplifier(122) amplifies the input signals by sector, which are inputted through paths of the sector input switches(114) and the distributors(112). Sector output switches(118) control the number of output sectors for the amplified input signals. Combiners(120) selectively combine the amplified input signals, and output the combined input signals. A sector selector(124) generates a control signal for selecting the number of input/output operational sectors. A controller(126) controls switching operations of the sector input/output switches(114,118) according to the control signal, and determines the number of the input/output sectors.
