PURPOSE: A method for controlling a wind direction of an air conditioner is provided to promptly and equally realize the effect of cooling or heating by changing speed of revolution of horizontal louvers. CONSTITUTION: If an air conditioner is turned on, it is confirmed whether a right and left wind direction control button is inputted. If so, a step motor for right and left is driven to rotate vertical louvers right and left. Horizontal louvers are rotated up and down while changing revolutions per minute of the step motor according to frequency of button input. If the right and left wind direction control button is inputted again, the vertical louvers stop rotating.
