The immobilization device for a connection rod (2) in a rachidian implant bone anchoring element (3) has a head (8) comprising two vertical walls (9,10) delimiting a central U-shaped opening (11) the bottom (12) of which has a cylindrical profile. Each vertical wall is constituted by a central face (13) edged laterally and on each side by elastic strips (14,15) separated from the central face by vertical slits (16,17). The strips comprise in their upper part a clipping tooth (19,20). A locking element (5) comprises a housing (29), a threaded bore emerging inside the housing, a clamping screw (31) engaging the bore and lugs (33,34) which engage a tooth fixed to the strips for fixing the locking element on the bone anchoring element.
