<p>PURPOSE: Provided is a light-weight brick of which porosity and strength can be easily controlled, thereby having uniform pores and being suitably used as a structuring material in construction field. CONSTITUTION: The light-weight brick comprises clay as a base material, limestone sludge and foam polystyrene as additives. Based on 100 parts by volume of the clay, 20-50 parts by volume of the limestone sludge and 20-30 parts by volume of the foam polystyrene. The method of producing the light-weight brick comprises: mixing the clay, limestone sludge and foam polystyrene with above-said ratio; molding and drying the mixture; calcining the dried product at 900-1100 deg.C.</p> |
