摘要 PURPOSE: A device for monitoring an optical signal to noise ratio is provided to remove signal components from a specific frequency bandwidth, and to pass noise components only, thereby easily measuring strength of noise within a signal bandwidth. CONSTITUTION: A vertical polarized component module(100) inputs an optical signal, and outputs the signal by removing signal components from a specific frequency band. An operator(200) measures DC component strength and noise strength from the optical signal, respectively, and operates an optical signal to noise ratio. The module(100) comprises as follows. A polarized controller inputs the optical signal, and outputs the signal such that strengths of the first polarized component and the second polarized component are the same. A polarized splitter inputs the optical signal, divides into the first polarized component and the second polarized component, and outputs the first and second polarized components, respectively. An optical delay inputs either the first or the second polarized component, and delays the inputted component. A polarized combiner inputs the delayed polarized component and the polarized component that is not delayed to combine the components together, and outputs the combined components.
