PURPOSE: A device and method for preventing the robbery of a vehicle is provided to allow a door-lock rod to be pulled only when a key is inserted into a starting key cylinder or a door key cylinder if a window is opened. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing the robbery of a vehicle is composed of a starting key detecting unit(200) installed at a starting key cylinder and detecting the insertion of a starting key, a door key detecting unit(300) installed at a door key cylinder and detecting the insertion of a door key, a door-lock control unit(400) locking/unlocking a door-lock rod, and a microcomputer(800). The microcomputer receives signals from the detecting units, and controls the door-lock control unit. |
